Overview

During the summer season, Sevilla has experienced significant traffic congestion on major access roads as travelers return from coastal areas.

Earlier reports indicated heavy delays and accidents on the A-49, AP-4, and A-471 highways, particularly affecting those traveling from the Cádiz coast. Specific incidents included an accident near Huévar del Aljarafe and a stalled vehicle on the A-49.

Following these disruptions, the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) launched a summer return operation, forecasting approximately 371,000 trips across the province. This volume represents an increase of nearly 100,000 trips compared to the previous year. The DGT identified high traffic density expected on the A-4, A-49, A-66, A-92, AP-4, and N-4, with peak travel times forecasted throughout the end of August.
