Sergio Rico and family targeted in violent armed robbery in Seville

Former PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico and his family were victims of a violent armed robbery at their home in Bollullos de la Mitación, near Seville. On Monday night, five hooded individuals armed with firearms broke into the residence while the family, including Rico’s wife Alba Silva, their two young children, and Silva’s mother, were having dinner.

The assailants reportedly forced their way into a room where the family had sought refuge, with one report stating Rico was tied to a bed. The intruders stole jewelry, luxury watches, and cash, with the total loot estimated at approximately 600,000 euros. While the family suffered no serious physical injuries, Alba Silva has expressed significant emotional trauma and anxiety following the incident.

This event is part of a recent wave of targeted robberies against professional footballers in the Seville province. Within a five-day period, players including Troy Parrott and Antony also had their homes burglarized. Security experts suggest these incidents are not random but involve prior surveillance and intelligence gathering by organized criminals.
