Sevilla rental market sees continued rise in express rentals

In the province of Sevilla, including its capital, the phenomenon of ‘express rentals’—properties rented in less than 24 hours—remains a significant factor in the housing market. According to data from the real estate portal Idealista for the second quarter of 2026, 13% of homes rented in the province were off the market in less than a day. This figure is slightly lower than the Spanish national average of 17%.

Across Andalusia, the rate of rapid rentals varies by province. Cádiz leads the region with 19% of properties rented within 24 hours, followed by Huelva at 18%, Jaén at 16%, and Córdoba at 13%. Other provinces include Almería at 12%, Málaga at 11%, and Granada at 10%. These rapid transactions are often driven by high demand for affordable housing, which tenants quickly secure as soon as it becomes available.
