Sevilla traffic: DGT expects 371,000 trips during summer return operation

The Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) has launched its summer return operation in Sevilla, anticipating approximately 371,000 trips across the province between Friday, August 28, and midnight on Monday, August 31. This represents an increase of nearly 100,000 trips compared to the same period last year.

High traffic density is expected on several major routes, including the A-4, A-49, A-66, A-92, AP-4, and N-4. Specific congestion points identified by the DGT include the AP-4 toward Dos Hermanas, primarily due to travelers returning from the beaches of Cádiz, and the A-49 between the Huelva province border and Sevilla.

Peak travel times are forecasted for Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and throughout Sunday and Monday, with the highest intensities expected between 10:00 and 15:00 and again from 17:00 to 20:00.
