Sfântu Gheorghe introduces new parking regulations for October

The Sfântu Gheorghe City Hall has announced new regulations for paid public parking in the city center, set to take effect in the second half of October. The reorganization aims to improve urban order, traffic flow, and pollution levels.

The city will be divided into two distinct tariff zones. Zone A, the ultra-central area, will maintain a rate of 3 lei per hour, with monthly or annual subscriptions reserved exclusively for local residents. Zone B will see a rate reduction from 3 lei to 2 lei per hour. In Zone B, drivers can also purchase two-hour tickets for 4 lei or full-day tickets for 12 lei.

Local vehicle owners in Sfântu Gheorghe with up-to-date auto taxes can access discounted subscriptions in Zone B. Parking will only be mandatory on weekdays from 08:00 to 18:00; parking remains free throughout the city on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
