Sha Tin fitness center investigated for hidden pinhole cameras

Police are investigating a voyeurism case after pinhole cameras were discovered in the changing rooms of a 24/7 FITNESS branch located on Lek Yuen Street in Sha Tin. The incident was reported on September 25, 2026, after a member noticed suspicious lights and objects attached to the false ceiling of a shower area.

Investigators confirmed that three pinhole cameras were found in three out of four changing rooms. The devices were reportedly connected to the electrical wiring of the false ceiling lights. The Sha Tin Police District Criminal Investigation Team is currently handling the case, though no arrests have been made at this time.

The gym manager stated that the facility uses facial recognition for entry, ensuring all visitors are recorded, and noted that the company is following internal protocols while awaiting the police investigation. Members have expressed varying levels of concern regarding privacy and security within the facility.
