Shah Rukh Khan celebrates 61st birthday and promotes upcoming film King

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 61st birthday on November 2, marking the occasion by greeting fans from the balcony of his Mumbai residence, Mannat. Despite renovation work at his home, the actor performed his signature open-arms pose for the large crowds gathered outside.

The celebrations coincided with promotional updates for his upcoming action thriller, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film’s first song, “Tu Mil Jaaye,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone with a rap by Ed Sheeran, was released. Trade reports indicate the film has secured approximately ₹665 crore in pre-release deals, including digital rights with Netflix and international theatrical rights.

Industry colleagues, including Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kajol, shared birthday tributes on social media. Salman Khan’s message prompted a playful response from Khan regarding his physical fitness for the film. The upcoming movie, which also stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, is scheduled for theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
