Shakira launches immersive “Macondo Park” residency in Madrid

Colombian singer Shakira will transform the Iberdrola Music arena in Madrid into a temporary “city” called Macondo Park for the final leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The venue will feature eight themed pavilions – music, fashion, gastronomy, literature, art, cinema, children’s culture and Shakira’s own creative universe – arranged around a central Macondo Plaza. It will hold up to 50 000 visitors per day, be open from 12:00 to midnight, and host concerts from 20:30 to 23:00. Twelve shows are scheduled between 18 September and 11 October 2026, with a 12th added for 9 October. Two VIP areas, Espacio Garden and Espacio Terrace, will sell tickets starting at €500. Live Nation Spain president Pino Sagliocco said the project aims to showcase that “Spain is Latina” and to create a trans‑national Latin community, with plans to allow school visits on non‑concert days. The design is being overseen by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group).
