Shakti Pumps expands solar portfolio amid 24.5% revenue growth

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has reported a 24.5% increase in revenue from operations for the first half of fiscal year 2026–27, reaching ₹16,047 million. This growth was primarily driven by a 29.3% rise in solar pump installations, with 51,543 units installed during the period.

Despite revenue gains, the company's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) declined to ₹901 million in H1 FY27 from ₹1,875 million in the previous year. Management attributed the lower profitability to increased logistics costs caused by geopolitical tensions, as well as higher prices for stainless steel, copper, and aluminium.

In a strategic move to expand beyond pumping systems, the company unveiled its 620 Wp Shakti On Roof solar PV module at the REI Expo 2026. These modules utilize 16-busbar TOPCon technology and are manufactured at the company's facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The new product line, which includes AI-powered inverters, is part of a broader effort to support the ‘Make in India’ initiative and targets agricultural and rooftop solar applications.
