Shanghai to host multiple 2026 AI and tech events
In June 2024, Amazon Cloud Technology will hold its 2026 China Summit at the Shanghai World Expo Center (June 23‑24). The two‑day program is organized by seven professional roles and features a 10,000 m² exhibit space, hands‑on labs, and a 24‑hour AI hackathon.
From July 17‑20, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) will take place at the Shanghai Expo Hall, where Huawei’s Ascend brand will debut the Atlas 950 SuperPoD and Atlas 850E cooling‑node systems, alongside open‑source AI software and industry case studies.
The China International Digital Entertainment Expo (ChinaJoy) is scheduled for July 31‑August 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Over 900 companies – including 275 foreign firms from 39 countries – will showcase games, esports, AI‑driven products and cross‑industry collaborations under the theme “Travel with AI”.
Finally, AICon Shanghai, a global AI development conference, will run on June 26‑27, focusing on building trustworthy, scalable Agentic operating systems. Academics from Tsinghua, Fudan and other universities, together with tech leaders from Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, Huawei and Google Cloud, will present research on token‑service optimization, multi‑modal models, and large‑model deployment.
Collectively, these events highlight Shanghai’s role as a hub for AI hardware, cloud services, gaming, and research collaborations in 2026.
