Shanghai to host 2026 World Top Scientists Forum
The 2026 World Top Scientists Forum, hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, will take place in Lingang, Shanghai, from October 30 to November 1. The event focuses on the theme “Paradigm Shifts: The Next Decade of Scientific Breakthroughs.”
The forum features a structured program including a main forum, six parallel forums, and four specialized thematic activities. It aims to bridge the gap between high-level academic research and industrial application. Parallel forums will address critical sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, aerospace information, future energy, and quantum science.
A highlight of the event is the fifth annual World Top Scientist Awards, which will honor 11 scientists across three categories: Life Sciences or Medicine, Intelligent Science or Mathematics, and Young Scientist Awards. The forum also includes dedicated sessions for young scientists, entrepreneurs, and women in science to foster talent cultivation and technology transfer.
