Sharjah International Storyteller Forum concludes 26th edition

The 26th edition of the Sharjah International Storyteller Forum has concluded in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The five-day event, themed ‘Tales of Friendship’, brought together more than 120 storytellers and researchers from 30 different countries to celebrate oral heritage and cultural exchange.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, noted that the forum has evolved into a major international cultural event that strengthens Sharjah’s position as a global capital for culture and heritage. The program featured scientific sessions, seminars, and workshops designed to discuss oral traditions and the art of storytelling.

The forum included diverse interactive activities, such as workshops on Emirati traditional crafts like Talli, educational programs for children, and community awareness initiatives. Participants engaged with various cultural expressions, including folk arts, mosaic making, and exhibitions that highlighted the importance of friendship and social values within Arab and international heritage.
