To mark the 145th National Day of Sharqia Governorate, Governor Hazem El Ashmouny inaugurated several service and development projects focused on education, health, and infrastructure. Key openings included the Martyr Sherif Talaat Ibrahim Official Language School in Zagazig, costing approximately 28 million EGP, and the Sabry Abdullah Industrial Technical Secondary School in Henbaday, costing 31 million EGP. Additionally, a sewage lifting station in Ezbet El Zand was launched with a budget of 40 million EGP to serve over 3,000 residents.

In a separate developmental effort, the governor hosted the executive committee for the National Initiative for Green Smart Projects. The committee, which includes representatives from various ministries such as Communications and Information Technology, Environment, and Planning, is evaluating local green projects. These initiatives aim to support Egypt’s National Climate Change Strategy 2050 by promoting sustainable development and innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
