Shatta Wale declares support for Stonebwoy at ShattaFest

During the MoMoFest X ShattaFest concert held at the Youth Resource Centre in Ho, Volta Region, on October 3, 2026, dancehall artist Shatta Wale publicly declared his support for his long-time rival, Stonebwoy.

Addressing the crowd, Shatta Wale stated that no one could use the media to turn him against his colleague and that he has no interest in fighting anyone, noting his commitment to his faith. In a significant gesture toward the Bhim Nation artist, Shatta Wale’s DJ played Stonebwoy’s 2020 track ‘Putuu Freestyle (Pray),’ and Shatta Wale performed along to the song.

The two musicians have maintained a prominent rivalry in the Ghanaian dancehall scene for years, which has included public confrontations such as an incident at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. However, they have also experienced moments of peace, including a public embrace during a 2017 concert.
