Shawn Langdon pursues fourth consecutive NHRA Top Fuel win

The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series enters a critical phase as the championship battle intensifies. Shawn Langdon of Team Kalitta is currently on a significant winning streak, entering the NAPA NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway with three consecutive victories and 12 straight round wins. Langdon holds a 25-point lead over teammate Doug Kalitta in the Top Fuel standings and has the opportunity to become the first driver since 2019 to win four consecutive races.

In other racing news, the NHRA has reached a multi-year media rights agreement. The 2027 television package will be split between FOX Sports, which will broadcast the first 13 events, and The CW, which will cover the US Nationals and the Countdown. Meanwhile, Jordan Vandergriff is leading the championship push for John Force Racing as the season approaches its final four races.
