Shemar Moore returns in ‘S.W.A.T. Exiles’ spin-off

S.W.A.T. Exiles Shemar Moore television spin-off Starz action series

The television series ‘S.W.A.T. Exiles’ has launched as a spin-off and evolution of the original ‘S.W.A.T.’ series. Starring Shemar Moore as Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson, the show picks up two years after the original series concluded.

In the new narrative, Hondo has been sidelined following a failed mission that resulted in the death of a young cadet. He is eventually brought back by his former commander, Robert Hicks, to lead an experimental unit composed of five young outsiders who do not fit the traditional S.W.A.T. mold. The new squad includes characters such as Sammy Bishop, Ethan Cole, and Cassidy Han.

While the series moves to Starz in the United States, it is also being made available via Sky and WOW in other regions. Lead actor Shemar Moore has stated that the series aims to maintain the history of the original show while providing a grittier, evolved experience for viewers.
