Shemar Moore to lead S.W.A.T. Exiles spin-off on Starz

A new trailer for ‘S.W.A.T. Exiles’, a spin-off of the CBS series ‘S.W.A.T.’, has been released by Starz. The series, scheduled to premiere on September 25, stars Shemar Moore as Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson.

The plot follows Hondo after he leaves his former life following a fatal botched raid. He is eventually recruited by his former commanding officer, Robert Hicks, to lead a new unit composed of ‘LA’s most talented rejects.’ This new squad, known as the Exiles, includes characters such as Sammy Bishop, Ethan Cole, Cassidy Reed, Jude Callan, and Malik Anderson.

As the team faces various criminal threats in Los Angeles, Hondo must also contend with the discovery of a mole within the unit. The series explores themes of paranoia and institutional corruption, as Hondo realizes that certain powerful entities may be attempting to dismantle S.W.A.T. to replace it with a more private and less accountable force.
