Shen Po-yang appoints new spokespersons and launches campaign merchandise
Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Po-yang has appointed two new spokespersons and launched a series of campaign merchandise items. The newly appointed spokespersons are 28-year-old Tsai Yi-kai, a former student leader and former office director for Keelung City Councilor Hsu Jui-tzu, and 26-year-old Lin Yu-tung, a former non-profit professional currently serving as an office director for Legislator Chen Pei-yu.
Shen stated that the spokespersons should act as bridges to the public rather than mere barriers, emphasizing their ability to engage directly with citizens and media.
The campaign also introduced eight types of merchandise, referred to as ‘Ocean Current’ (Yangliu) goods, which include T-shirts, hats, tote bags, and plush toys. These items, which are manufactured in Taiwan, are offered as part of a donation scheme with contribution amounts ranging from 888 TWD to 100,000 TWD. Shen noted that the ‘Ocean Current’ branding represents a gentle yet transformative force intended to bring change to Taipei.
