Sherwin-Williams names Celery as 2027 Color of the Year
Sherwin-Williams and its Lowe’s-exclusive line, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, have announced Celery (SW 6421) as the 2027 Color of the Year. Described as a soft, crisp yellow-green, the shade is characterized as a “tinted neutral” that blends elements of khaki, butter yellow, and sage green.
The selection is part of the company’s 2027 Colormix Trend Forecast, titled “Rewild.” This forecast is based on research across residential design, industrial wood, and coatings divisions. Celery is one of ten designated “Continuity Colors,” which the company expects will maintain longevity across various design styles and applications.
Ashley Banbury, Color Marketing Manager for Sherwin-Williams, stated that the color reflects current priorities of wellness, balance, and connection. The brand aims to provide homeowners with soothing environments that support mental health and a connection to the natural world.
