Sheryl Crow receives 2026 BMI Troubadour Award in Nashville

Sheryl Crow was honored with the 2026 BMI Troubadour Award during a ceremony held in Nashville. The award, presented by the performing-rights organization, recognizes excellence in songwriting.

The event featured several high-profile musical tributes. Jason Isbell performed Crow’s 1993 debut single “Run Baby Run,” while Melissa Etheridge delivered a rendition of “If It Makes You Happy.” Eric Church also performed an acoustic version of “Leaving Las Vegas.” Olivia Rodrigo made a surprise appearance to perform “Strong Enough,” adding to a lineup that included Chris Stapleton and Lauren Daigle.

Crow, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, received a Gibson guitar and a custom vinyl of her second album as part of the recognition. The ceremony took place at the BMI office on the eve of Americana Fest.
