Sheryl Crow album release and award recognition

Overview

Singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow is preparing for the October 9, 2026, release of her 12th studio album, ‘Pick You Up’. The seven-track project, released through Old Green Barn Productions LLC, is co-written with longtime collaborator Jeff Trott and returns to her rock and Americana roots. The album features the track ‘Freedom Bus’, a collaboration with Jesse Welles that addresses themes of political division, civil rights, and the importance of civil discourse.

Crow, a nine-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, was honored with the 2026 BMI Troubadour Award on September 14 at a ceremony in Nashville. The event, held at the BMI office, included musical tributes from artists such as Jason Isbell, Melissa Etheridge, Eric Church, and Olivia Rodrigo. As part of the recognition for her songwriting excellence, Crow received a Gibson guitar and a custom vinyl of her second album.

Additionally, Crow is collaborating with Disney Television Animation and Pixar for the upcoming Disney Jr. and Disney+ animated series ‘Cars: Lightning Racers’, scheduled for a 2027 release. During the D23 fan event in Anaheim, she performed the title song ‘Built to Last’ and is expected to contribute eleven new songs to the series.
