Shimla: Three killed in head-on collision between bus and car

Three members of a family were killed and one person was seriously injured following a head-on collision between an HRTC electric bus and a car near Ghandal on National Highway-205 in the Shimla district.

The deceased have been identified as Dayanand, his wife Hemlata, and his mother Vidya Devi, all residents of Fanji village in the Solan district. The driver of the car, Manish, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Hospital in Shimla.

Police reported that the HRTC bus was traveling from Bagipul toward Shimla when the accident occurred. No passengers on the bus were injured. An FIR has been registered at the Boilouganj Police Station, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently underway.
