Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Takes Over Taipei Main Station Mall Operations

On July 25, 2026, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi assumed management of the Taipei Main Station mall, ending Breeze’s 19‑year tenure. The handover was completed after night work on July 24, and the mall, covering about 14,000 m², reopened at 6 a.m. with 120 stores, of which roughly 110 have signed short‑term leases with the new operator.

Shin Kong plans a phased renovation lasting up to two years and eight months, targeting completion by the end of 2028. The upgrades will include a 600‑inch city‑welcome screen, a large boutique clock, AI‑enhanced restroom and navigation services, and the addition of international brands. Construction will be staged to minimise impact on passenger flow.
