Shiromani Akali Dal criticizes Congress over alleged mistreatment of MLA Jarnail Singh

Harkesh Singh Mohri, the Haryana president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), has criticized the Congress party following alleged misconduct against MLA Jarnail Singh in the Haryana Assembly. Mohri claimed the mistreatment of the elected representative was motivated by his identity as a Sikh and a Dalit.

Mohri demanded that the Congress party clarify its policy regarding such incidents and called for an apology and action against the offending MLA. He specifically questioned the silence of leaders Deepender Hooda and Bhupinder Hooda regarding the matter, stating that if the party claims to be a supporter of the Sikh community, they must take accountability for this religious and social issue. The SAD leadership plans to meet with party workers to decide on a future strategy.
