Shivaleeka Oberoi defends Katrina Kaif against postpartum body-shaming

Actress Shivaleeka Oberoi has publicly defended Katrina Kaif following social media trolling regarding the latter's postpartum appearance. The criticism surfaced after Kaif made a rare public appearance in Mumbai on August 26 to attend the funeral of filmmaker Kuku Kohli alongside her husband, Vicky Kaushal.

Oberoi criticized the negative comments, stating that the physical changes associated with childbirth are a normal part of motherhood. She urged social media users to “stop glorifying a version of motherhood that doesn’t exist,” noting that postpartum recovery includes challenges such as bloating and exhaustion.

Kaif, who welcomed her son Vihaan Kaushal in November 2025, had largely avoided the public eye since becoming a mother. The recent wave of trolling targeted her post-pregnancy weight and physical appearance.
