Shopping Via Direta auction set for July 22 in Natal, Brazil

The Federal Court will conduct an online auction of the Shopping Via Direta mall in the Lagoa Nova district of Natal on 22 July. The property is valued at R$ 153.3 million, with a minimum bid of R$ 76.6 million, equivalent to 50 % of the valuation. Proceeds are earmarked to settle about R$ 48 million in federal debts, including labor and tax obligations. If no buyer emerges in the first round at 09:00, a second round will run at 10:00 with a reduced minimum bid. Buyers may finance the purchase with a 25 % down‑payment and up to 59 monthly installments, limited to the debt amount; any excess over the debt must be paid in cash.

The mall, built around 30 years ago, sits on roughly 35,600 m² of land and comprises about 14,200 m² of built area with 213 commercial units. Nine units belong to third parties; three (units 101, 129 and 701) are excluded from the sale, while six others have been seized and will be included. A prior 2021 auction that reached R$ 165.3 million was suspended by a higher court.
