Shusha Global Media Forum 2026 convenes 160 journalists and experts on media’s peace role
The 4th Shusha Global Media Forum will be held on 13‑14 July 2026 in Shusha, Azerbaijan. Organized by the Media Development Agency, the two‑day event is themed “Media’s mission to promote peace: restoring truth and rebuilding trust.” Approximately 160 media representatives from 54 countries, along with about 30 international news agencies, over 60 leading media organisations and around 10 international bodies and companies, are expected to attend.
The forum will discuss the role of media in peacebuilding, cross‑border dialogue, rebuilding public trust, combating disinformation, creating safe digital information environments, and the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence in journalism. Panel sessions, one‑on‑one meetings and interactive workshops are planned. High‑level Azerbaijani officials, including President Ilham Aliyev and Deputy Foreign Policy Head Hikmet Hacıyev, are slated to address participants. The event follows previous forums held since 2022 that have examined global media trends, the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution, misinformation, and AI‑driven digital transformation.
