SIC and TVI lead Portuguese television viewership ratings

Portuguese television networks SIC and TVI continue to compete for dominance in viewership ratings, driven largely by reality programming and news broadcasts.

On September 12, 2026, SIC achieved significant leadership, occupying the top four most-watched program slots. The 'Jornal da Noite' led the rankings with a 6.7% rating, followed by 'Terra Nossa: Monforte' and the interview program 'Alta Definição'. SIC's 'Primeiro Jornal' also secured a top position.
