Sicily allocates 5 million euros to 24 assistance institutions

The Sicilian regional government has approved 5 million euros in funding for 24 Public Institutions of Assistance and Charity (Ipab). The decree, issued by the regional department for family and social policies, allocates these resources to support institutions performing essential social services, including those that have temporarily suspended activities due to external circumstances.

Family and Social Policy Assessor Nuccia Albano stated that the funding aims to ensure service continuity and support the region's most vulnerable populations. The funds are specifically earmarked for paying staff salary supplements and social security contributions, providing concrete support to both the institutions and their employees.
