Sicily and Tunisia host joint photography exhibition

The photography exhibition ‘Terre de Sicile et Tunisie – Mémoire partagée’ (Land of Sicily and Tunisia – Shared Memory) opened on September 5 in Gibellina, Italy. Held at the Santa Caterina museum, the exhibition is part of a cultural collaboration between the Italian association ‘I Colori della Vita’ and the Tunisian association ‘Didon et Enée’.

Featuring sixteen Italian and Tunisian perspectives, the collection focuses on rural landscapes, architecture, and agricultural traditions, shifting the thematic focus from the sea—which was the subject of the previous year's collaboration—to the resilience of inland communities. The exhibition will remain in Gibellina until September 24.

Following its Italian run, the exhibition is scheduled to transfer to Tunis, where it will be displayed at the Maison des Crafts (Cnav) in Belvédère from November 7 to 21. The event also includes a photographic retrospective from the early 20th century, featuring plates and postcards provided by the Museo della Fotografia Fundarò and collector Saber Bahri.
