Sicily health authorities launch summer tourist assistance plan and hire permanent medical technicians

The Sicilian ASP in Siracusa has defined a summer 2026 health assistance network for tourists, designating the Brucoli medical guard and a series of “Case della Comunità” hubs across the province. Day‑time visitors are directed to the nearest community house—such as Avola, Noto, Pachino, Marzamemi or Portopalo di Capo Passero—while night, pre‑holiday and weekend coverage is provided by traditional medical guard units.

The Azienda Ospedaliera “Papardo” in Messina issued a public competition to recruit two permanent technical staff: a Neurophysiology Technician and a Cardiovascular Perfusion Technician. Applications are submitted online and must be received by 2 August 2026. Both positions offer indefinite‑term contracts.
