Sicily highlights regional gastronomy through wine and truffle events

Sicily is highlighting its diverse gastronomic offerings through specialized culinary events. In Catania, the fourth edition of ‘Bianchi di Sicilia – Il sole nel calice’ will take place on September 19 at Piazza Università. The event features over 100 wineries showcasing white wines, which now account for approximately 65% of the island's total wine production. The gathering includes tastings, masterclasses, and cultural performances.

Additionally, the Sicilian company Tartufi del Moro will be presented at the Gambero Rosso kitchen in Palermo on February 23. Founded in 2024 and based in Isola delle Femmine, the company specializes in the collection and processing of fresh truffles and artisanal products such as oils and honeys. The presentation is part of a ‘Health Food 4.0’ educational module focusing on sustainable development and the green transition.
