Sicily launches youth sports vouchers and local street art workshops

The Sicilian regional government has announced a sports voucher program for over 14,500 young residents aged 6 to 16. The initiative, established by the Schifani administration, provides a monthly voucher of 50 euros to support participation in sports activities. The program targets youth from families with an ISEE income not exceeding 12,000 euros, with a total budget of 6 million euros allocated between 2026 and 2027.

In Tripi-Abakainon, the Dracma Ets association is organizing a free participatory street art workshop for children aged 7 and older on September 1 and 2. Led by artist Sposari, the workshop aims to connect local archaeological history and mythology with contemporary urban art. The event is part of the Fucina Art Fest program and requires mandatory reservation.
