Sicily police arrest two individuals in separate drug operations

Law enforcement operations in Sicily have resulted in two separate drug-related arrests. In Ramacca, Carabinieri officers conducted a search of a residence belonging to a 21-year-old man who was already under house arrest. Following suspicious behavior during a rural patrol, authorities discovered hashish, marijuana, a precision scale, and 320 euros in cash inside the home. The individual has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of sale.

In a separate incident in Aci Catena, a 36-year-old man from Viagrande was arrested following a high-speed scooter pursuit. The individual attempted to evade a police checkpoint, performing dangerous maneuvers before being intercepted by the Acireale Radiomobile Nucleus. A subsequent search revealed several doses of crack cocaine. The man faces charges of drug possession for sale and dangerous flight, and has been placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring.
