Sicily Region announces 2026 entertainment funding

The Sicily Region has released ten notices regarding access to contributions from the Single Regional Fund for Entertainment (Furs) for private entities. For 2026, the total allocation is 5.8 million euros, intended for theatrical and musical activities, festivals, youth theater, concert and band activities, traveling shows, and circus performances.

In addition to these funds, a new one-million-euro allocation has been introduced via the regional finance law to support non-profit cultural associations and amateur theater companies for productions carried out within Sicily. Elvira Amata, the regional assessor for Tourism, Sport, and Entertainment, stated that supporting these operators aims to promote regional culture and serve as a driver for tourism development.

Interested entities must submit applications to the Department of Tourism via certified electronic mail (PEC). Detailed terms, application methods, and resource distribution criteria are available on the official institutional website of the Region.
