Italian regions launch multi-million euro agricultural support programs

Various Italian regions are implementing significant financial measures to support the agricultural and cooperative sectors through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027.

In Sicily, the regional government has authorized approximately 61.7 million euros in advances for 8,560 businesses to support organic farming. This initiative aims to improve soil, water, and air quality while mitigating climate change impacts. In Molise, over 9.4 million euros were liquidated in September alone to support surface-based interventions and agro-climatic-environmental measures.

Emilia-Romagna has allocated 60 million euros to boost the competitiveness of its agri-food enterprises, focusing on the transformation and marketing of products across nine sectors, including swine, fruit, and dairy. Additionally, the region has provided nearly 600,000 euros to various cooperatives to fund projects in digital transition, circular economy, and education.

In Lombardy, the “Più Credito Agricoltura” initiative, managed by Finlombarda, aims to provide up to 50 million euros in credit to agricultural businesses. These funds, ranging from 70,000 to 15 million euros per request, are intended for productive investments, technological innovation, and working capital.
