Sicredi expands with new Monte Alverne branch and major cooperative merger in Brazil
Sicredi Vale do Rio Pardo opened a new agency in the Monte Alverine district of Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. The 370 m² branch features a German‑style café and dedicated spaces for individuals, agribusiness and corporate clients, aiming to bring more comfortable and personalized service to its 3,766 members in the region.
Separately, Sicredi announced the merger of its Celeiro MT/RR cooperative with Sicredi Vale do Cerrado, creating the Sicredi Celeiro Centro Norte. The new entity now covers Mato Grande, Roraima and Amazonas, serving more than 300 000 associates and managing R$ 13.4 billion in assets. As President Laércio Lenz said, “A união representa a soma de histórias, experiências e propósitos, com o objetivo de gerar ainda mais valor aos associados.” The merger is intended to strengthen regional investment capacity and community development while preserving the cooperative’s close‑by service model.
