Sicredi cooperative expansion and leadership
Overview
Sicredi continues to broaden its regional footprint while reinforcing internal governance and youth development. In March, Sicredi Vale Litoral SC launched a four‑month Youth Committee that brings together about 60 young entrepreneurs for bi‑weekly sessions using Google for Education tools, aiming to turn ideas into community projects. At the same time, Sicredi Vale do Cerrado installed a new Council of Administration under President Sergio Alves, preparing for a strategic merger with Sicredi Celeiro MT/RR.
In June, Sicredi Centro‑Sul MS/BA showcased its credit, insurance and investment services at Expomara 2026 in Maracaju, underscoring the cooperative’s commitment to agribusiness and regional development. That month also saw the opening of a new Monte Alverne branch in Santa Cruz do Sul, featuring a German‑style café and dedicated spaces for individuals, agribusiness and corporate clients. The merger of Celeiro MT/RR with Vale do Cerrado created Sicredi Celeiro Centro Norte, now serving over 300 000 associates across Mato Grande, Roraima and Amazonas with R$ 13.4 billion in assets.
July brought further branch activity: Sicredi Novos Horizontes renovated its Arapoti agency, and Sicredi Serrana opened a new office in Vila Jansen, Farroupilha, expanding its local network to four branches and over 60 staff. The cooperative highlighted its role in supporting micro‑ and small‑enterprise growth, noting that 96.2 % of its corporate members are SMEs.
In early August, Sicredi announced a nationwide hiring drive, posting 891 job openings—including positions in Pará—to strengthen service capacity for its 10 million members. These initiatives collectively illustrate Sicredi’s ongoing strategy of proximity‑focused expansion, cooperative governance, and investment in future leaders across Brazil.
