Sicredi launches youth leadership program and appoints new board in Brazil

Sicredi Vale Litoral SC inaugurated a four‑month Youth Committee on 29 March, gathering about 60 young entrepreneurs for bi‑weekly sessions that apply Google for Education methods. The programme, developed with Instituto Manager, aims to turn the participants’ ideas into community‑focused projects. Executive director Arão João da Silva Neto highlighted the unique opportunities available to today’s youth and the cooperative’s role in shaping future leaders.

In a separate event, Sicredi Vale do Cerrado installed a new Council of Administration, with Sergio Alves named president. The council plans to maintain open dialogue with members and staff while preparing for a strategic merger with Sicredi Celeiro MT/RR, intended to broaden service capacity across the region. Both initiatives underscore Sicredi’s focus on strengthening cooperativism, supporting local development, and fostering internal governance.
