Siderno and Francolino install new public defibrillators

The town of Siderno in Italy inaugurated a new automated external defibrillator (AED) on 6 July in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The device was donated by the Romeo‑Lizzi family in memory of Aurelio Romeo, who died from cardiac arrest, and was welcomed by Mayor Mariateresa Fragomeni and the local community.

In Francolino, a frazione of Ferrara, a second AED was installed at via Calzolai 331 as part of the “Ferrara Città Cardioprotetta” programme. The donation came through the “In goal con il cuore” football event organized by the Prefecture of Ferrara and supported by local associations, the municipal health office and the 118 emergency service. The device, usable for pediatric emergencies, adds to a network of 36 public defibrillators across 13 frazioni in the Ferrara area.
