Siemens Energy completes one-billion-euro share buyback

Siemens Energy has completed its first share buyback program, totaling approximately one billion euros. Between June 4 and August 14, the company repurchased 6,467,098 shares at an average price of 154.63 euros.

The buyback coincides with a period of record operational performance. In the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, the company reported a record order intake of 17.9 billion euros, revenue of 11.4 billion euros, and an adjusted profit of 1.62 billion euros. The order backlog for the Grid Technologies segment has grown to 51 billion euros. Consequently, the company has raised its annual guidance, targeting a margin at the upper end of the 10 to 12 percent range.

In addition to its core grid and energy business, Siemens Energy secured a new contract from SBM Offshore to supply power generation and gas compression systems for two Petrobras vessels. Deliveries are expected between late 2027 and 2028.

Market analysts at Bernstein Research have maintained an ‘Outperform’ rating for the stock, setting a price target of 210 euros. This suggests a potential upside of nearly 40 percent from recent closing levels.
