Siemens Energy launches €3 bn share buyback as stock drops 4.5%

German energy group Siemens Energy announced a €3 billion share repurchase program to be completed by 2026. The initiative came as the company's stock fell about 4.5 % on the day, slipping to €170.06 after a strong earnings run. Despite the decline, the shares have risen nearly 40 % since the start of the year and more than doubled over the past twelve months, up roughly 124 %. Analysts attribute the recent pull‑back to profit‑taking after the rally, noting a weaker short‑term chart and speculation about a possible trend reversal.
