Siemens Mobility expands rail orders at InnoTrans

Siemens Mobility has secured significant new orders for its rail division during the InnoTrans trade fair. DPB Rail, a Carinthian-Styrian railway company, announced the acquisition of six additional multisystem Vectron locomotives. This expansion brings DPB’s total Vectron fleet to 33 units, including 21 owned locomotives, to support operations across major European corridors.

In addition to the DPB Rail deal, Siemens has secured further vehicle orders intended for north-south and east-west traffic. These units are designed with a comprehensive multi-country certification package covering Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Serbia. These developments highlight Siemens' ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the European rail market through strategic partnerships and advanced locomotive technology.
