Siena issues ordinance for Piazza del Campo restoration

Siena Mayor Nicoletta Fabio has issued a new ordinance to manage the restoration of Piazza del Campo following the rescheduled Palio races. The decree modifies previous regulations regarding the assembly, disassembly, and management of event stages.

Specific schedules for dismantling include the removal of the Verrocchio and Stella stages on August 20, the Priori stage on August 24, and the Judges' stage on August 25. During these periods, certain commercial activities will be closed and public land occupation will be prohibited in designated sections of the Piazza and surrounding streets like Via Rinaldini.

Material removal from the square is scheduled to take place between the early hours of August 20 and August 21. A complete cleaning of Piazza del Campo is set to occur on August 25 starting at 5:00 AM.
