Siena schedules horse examinations for July 2026 Palio

From Monday 22 June to Wednesday 24 June, the Ceppo veterinary clinic in Monteresi will host examinations for horses admitted to the July 2, 2026 Palio. A total of 119 horses have been approved by the municipal technical and veterinary commissions. Seventeen have already been selected to race, twenty‑one have completed the Tratta, and forty‑six have passed the regulated tests. Mayor Nicoletta Fabio said the protocol is progressing linearly despite weather concerns and noted the expected presence of international guests. Detailed timetables for each day's examinations were released, listing the names and slots for all participating horses.
