Siena to host events on urban heritage and centenary enterprises

Siena will host two significant events in late September focused on the preservation and strategic development of its historical and economic heritage.

On September 24, ASPPI Siena will hold its first provincial congress, titled ‘Siena 2035. People, heritage and future. Ideas and strategies for UNESCO World Heritage historic cities’. The event aims to discuss development strategies for the city and territory over the next decade, focusing on themes such as sustainability, identity, and economic innovation. The congress marks a transition for ASPPI Siena as it moves toward a more structured role in representing interests related to housing and real estate valorization.

On September 25, the Unione Imprese Centenarie Italiane will hold its autumn meeting in Siena. The session will focus on how long-standing businesses can use intellectual property to transform their historical legacy into a competitive advantage. The program includes a visit to the confectionery brand Fiore 1827, a company with over two centuries of history, as part of a national tour leading to a conference in Florence.
