Sierra de Guadarrama launches free astrotourism program

The Centro de Innovación Turística (CIT) Sierra de Guadarrama has introduced a new astrotourism initiative titled ‘De Madrid al Cielo… de la Sierra de Guadarrama’. The program aims to diversify local tourism and encourage economic activity during the autumn and winter months by offering guided nocturnal observations.

Running from October 23 to December 19, the project includes 18 guided activities across 14 municipalities, including Alpedrete, Cercedilla, Guadarrama, and Navacerrada. Participants can observe stars, planets, and meteor showers, such as the Orionids.

All activities are free of charge, though attendance is limited to 30 people per session to ensure personalized service. Interested participants must reserve their spots in advance through the official project website.
