Sierra Leone youth complete digital and vocational training programs

Various initiatives in Sierra Leone have recently concluded training programs aimed at empowering youth through digital and vocational skills.

The Orange Sierra Leone Foundation, via its Orange Digital Center NextGen Summer Camp, certified a group of young innovators following intensive training in emerging technologies. Participants engaged in practical learning involving Scratch coding, web design, and 3D printing to prepare for a digital future.

In Freetown, Make Impact Sierra Leone and the We Yone Child Foundation certified 44 young people from the Kroo Bay Slum Community and dumpsite areas. This six-month vocational program provided training in catering, cosmetology, hairdressing, and professional driving to help improve local livelihoods.
