SIG Group increases cement supply to Aceh amid rising demand

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is increasing cement production and distribution capacity to stabilize supply in Aceh following a sharp rise in demand. The surge in demand led to rapid stock depletion at several distribution points.

To address the shortage, SIG is maximizing production at PT Solusi Bangun Andalas facilities in Lhoknga and Lhokseumawe, as well as the PT Semen Padang packing plant in Malahayati. Additionally, PT Semen Padang is sending extra supplies from its Indarung plant to support regional stock recovery.

The company is coordinating with local governments, distributors, and logistics partners to ensure efficient and orderly distribution. SIG is conducting daily evaluations of stock levels and market conditions to manage supply adjustments while urging distributors to maintain healthy practices to keep retail prices stable.
