Fiorello announces return to Rai 1 via social media video

Italian entertainer Rosario Fiorello has announced his return to Rai 1 via a surprise social media video. The promotional clip parodies a well-known advertisement featuring Brad Pitt, using the line, “This is not Brad Pitt. Now that we have your attention...” followed by the message “Coming soon, Rai 1.”

This marks a significant return to the flagship network for Fiorello, who has not hosted a major solo variety show on Rai 1 since 2011. While specific details regarding the program's title, format, and broadcast schedule remain undisclosed, speculation suggests it could be a new variety show or an expansion of his current radio project, “La Pennicanza,” which he hosts on Rai Radio 2 alongside Fabrizio Biggio.

The announcement has generated significant social media engagement, with various Italian celebrities and colleagues offering congratulations. Preparations are reportedly underway at the Rai headquarters in Rome, with a potential debut following mid-October.
